The Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Assistive Technology Alliance of NZ (ATANZ) are running a series of free workshops around the country designed to inform clients, support people, therapists and other interested people who would benefit from, or have received communication equipment through, Accessable or Enable funding. The aim of the workshops are to
• Raise awareness of Assistive Technology including eligibility criteria for assessment and equipment funded by MoH
• Raise awareness of support teams around their roles and processes for skill development prior to referral for Assistive Technology assessments

• Develop resources that can be readily accessed through specialist assessment centres, DHB’s and other service providers

The workshops will be targeting the following areas:
• Autism Spectrum Disorders and AAC
