NZ Relay and MED are pleased to announce there will be a 5 month trial for a Video Relay Service this year.

You will be advised of the date the trial is to begin as soon as this is confirmed.

VRS will give you the opportunity to connect to a qualified New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) Interpreter using your computer and a webcam. The interpreter will be based in a call centre and will place your phone call to the party you wish to speak to. All calls are confidential.

We are looking for Deaf or hearing impaired volunteers who use NZSL to participate in this trial. You will be required to offer feedback from time to time to ensure continued service quality. Training will be provided if required.
