ATANZ ORGANISATION INFORMATION

The Assistive Technology Alliance New Zealand (ATANZ) Trust is a registered Charitable Trust.

The Board of Trustees currently consists of:

  • Lynda Strathdee, Astech Specialist Rehabilitation Services, Christchurch (Chair)
  • Tricia Dawson, Gist Communication Services, Blenheim
  • Glen Dixon, TalkLink Trust, Auckland
  • Jill Ford, Ministry of Education, Special Education, Blenheim
  • Sue Green, Ministry of Education, Special Education, Palmerston North
  • Michael Northcott, Cerebral Palsy Society, Auckland
  • Dean Sutherland, University of Canterbury, Christchurch

     

    The Values of the Trust are:

     

    • All people with disabilities have the right to assistive technology support in order to realise their full potential.
    • All people with disabilities have the right to be included and participate in their community.
    • People accessing assistive technology services have the right to the best possible service.
    • Geographical equity of service throughout New Zealand must be established and maintained.

     

    The Vision of the Trust is: 

    • "Every person in New Zealand who needs assistive technology has access to excellent services and support."  

    The Mission of the Trust is: 

    • "Promoting excellence in assistive technology service provision in New Zealand."
